Notes:
What a weird album. Of course after
watching the show, what else would I be
expecting? I can recognize just over half
of the tracks used in the series, but the others
elude my memory, so I'm going to have to break
this soundtrack into two categories: OST and
Techno Compilation. As a soundtrack, it's
a little lacking because the opening and closing
songs weren't included: which is a shame.
And I think it would have been nice to include
the "boogiepop phantom" eyecatch somewhere at
the end. But it does have all the rest of
the music used in the 13 episode series, and
then some. Of a 9 minute song, they may
have used about 40 seconds of it in an episode.
But that's where this album makes it's way to a
good Techno Compilation. The total running
time is almost an hour and a half, and there are
some pretty cool tracks here. Mostly
trance-like and great background music to just
veg to. I loved the series and I really
appreciate AnimeTrax stepping up to the fans and
offering them what they want. Domestically
released soundtracks! "Yay!" to AnimeTrax! |
