| I don't know if I was spoiled by Pioneer's
DVDs, or maybe I'm too critical because this is my
favorite Anime Movie, but for some reason, I just wasn't
impressed with this version of Ghost In The Shell. There
are a few places where the picture is a little grainy,
not like the Laserdisc version, which is perfectly clear.
Another thing that I wish they would have done, would be
having the option of moving the picture to the far top of
the screen, and placing the subtitles in the black space
below it, like the Special Edition of GITS on VHS. Which
is basically what this DVD is, the Special Edition
version of the tape. All in all, I like it, but I'd
rather have a Laserdisc version with subtitles. If you
don't have a Laserdisc player, then this is your best
option. |
