The last Toshin Tournament ended one year ago. Nobody Won.
For one year, Master Swordsman Eiji Shinjo has been haunted by the memory of his battle with the renegade champion, Gaia - a battle that was cut short by the forces of the malevolent syndicate known as "The Organization." Denied victory, Eiji left the tournament followed by his opponent's mocking laughter. Worse still, Eiji walked away no closer to finding his long-lost brother, Sho.

But now, a mysterious warior is hunting down the champions of the previous tournament and using their own moves against them - and it looks like that person may be Sho.

Who is this powerful, new foe and who will be his next target? Eiji and Kayin - his closest friend and greatest rival - struggle to unravel the mystery before they, too, join the ranks of the defeated. The answer lies at the heart of the Organization and it's plans for world domination. At last, the ultimate battle between the greatest fighters in the world will finally be decided. But if Eiji loses, his friend - Ellis - may die...
Let the tournament begin!

This was one crappy DVD title. First off, the movie wasn't that good to begin with, but the DVD treatment didn't help at all. To begin with, the biggest annoyance, well more of a flaw, there were about 4 or 5 spots where the sub-titles just were not there. They were left out for some reason. Big mistake. The transfer was done all right. The Character intro is nothing to brag about, and there wasn't really anything special about this DVD over the tape version. The only reason that this didn't get an F is because it has both English and Japanese languages with subtitles. I know that it seems to be a standard feature, but it is appreciated. Let's just hope that Central Park Media cleans up their act when they release the Record of Lodoss War on DVD, later this summer!
